If you no longer have the original box and packing materials, we can send you these for $30. Simply click the button within the Request for Service form. How Not to Pack Your Instrument

Inadequate Packing and HandlingThe pictures above show inadequate packaging, which did not stand up to the handling received.
Inadequate Packing — Opening the package shown on the left above reveals inadequate padding and a highly damaged instrument. Estimated cost to repair: greater than $2400, parts and labor.
Dropped on its Corner
This picture shows an improperly packed instrument that was dropped on its corner, buckling the rear panel and the top cover as well as causing internal damage. Estimated repair cost: over $1100, parts and labor.
Just a Little Bump — The pictures below show an instrument that was not correctly padded, then was dropped on its corner. While this damage appears minor, there is a risk of internal components jarred loose. Consequential repair of any damaged instrument would not be covered within the flat rate repair cost.
Again, we highly recommend you ship your instruments in approved packaging. Approved packaging can be obtained from Audio Precision using the online order form Service Request Form.
